Come to the Palos Pet Parade Today
The 7th annual parade kicks off at 11 a.m. today at Pasarelli Park, 124th Street and Oak Park Avenue.

And what parade would be complete without costumes? Owners are encouraged to dress up pets in creative costumes. There will, of course, be a contest for the best dressed dogs or cats and, for the wee ones, the best dressed little pets.
Palos' parade is more than just a fun time. It's also the opportunity to help out the community. Attendees are asked to bring dog and cat food for local shelters. Organizers also will be selling t-shirts and raffles gifts with the profits going to four nonprofits.
