Palos Park Boy Scouts Mark Milestone

Troop 729 recognized all those who have earned scouting's highest rank over the troop's 50 year history.

In 2011, Boy Scout Troop 729 celebrated its 50th year of scouting. Recently, the troop paid special tribute to 59 of its members who have achieved the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout since the troop's inception in 1961.

A troop 729 Eagle Scout plaque dedication was held on June 11, 2011, at the in Palos Park. Mayor John Mahoney and the village of Palos Park were presented with a plaque bearing the names of each Eagle Scout. The plaque will be permanently displayed in the lobby of the Kaptur Center.
