McCord Gallery Aims for Chase Grant

The art gallery and cultural center is asking residents to help them compete for grant money.

The McCord Gallery and Cultural Center is competing for a grant from Chase Bank through an online contest.

Fans of the 175-year-old art gallery can vote in two different ways—one through Facebook and the other as a customer with the bank.

Here's the trick: Voting ends Sept. 19 so gallery supporters will have to act fast.

Facebook voting goes like this:

  1. Visit the contest's Facebook page.
  2. Click "Chase Giving"
  3. Search the charities by typing "McCord House NFP"
  4. Hit "Vote" (and allow application)

You get two votes on the Facebook page but you can't use both for one charity. Sharing the Chase Community Giving app earns more votes. And Chase customers receive two extra votes through the Chase.com website.
