So is this where those wanting grants the state can't afford learn what they have to do politically to get Dems Burke and Cunningham to send them money? It's really telling that Rep Burke and Cunnigham are excluding community members and concerned citizens from learning how this crooked system works by limiting the number to 40 people and requiring "pre-registration" (political screening). This is typical of these two. They have YET to have a Town Hall meeting to allow voters to question them on their role in the dysfunction in Springfield, their solutions to our public pension, budget and job loss problems in Illinois, and what they've done in the last two years that merits their re-election. I guess they figure that having a "D" next to their name, getting massive campaign contributions from special interests, and having patronage workers and the SEIU knocking on doors for them is enough to get re-elected. I truly hope they're wrong!

Sounds like Rock Bobster is one of those Republicans who are not for anything but against everything. Not everyone has an Adelson or Koch in their back pocket.

Actually, PH, I'm FOR politicians standing before the public and being held accountable for what they do in Springfield...and what they DIDN'T do. unfortunately none of our State representatives or Senators in our area are willing to do that I don't have an Adelson or Koch in my pocket, nor do I have a sleazbag Soros or crooked "solyndra campaign bundler" like Obama has!

So when Romney, just days after the convention, says that he would be in favor of keeping parts of the health care bill, even to go as far as laying out specific parts of it, despite the fact campaining they intend to repeal all... Then the next day, the campaign releases a press statement emphasizing the rep platform remains the same and will repeal the whole bill... Will you hold him accountable?

And another... So when Ryan, just days after the convention, says that he would be in favor of states deciding on making pot leagal, despite the fact that the platform and Romney strictly opposed to that....... Then the next day, the campaign releases a press statement emphasizing the rep platform remains the same and is opposed to any leagalization fo pot... Was that just another slip or the lies... Little more deception...

Gee, someone who's been working 18 hours per day for the last couple months may have mispoke on the campaign trail! Off with his head! Kinda like the "57 states" we have according to Obama in 2008, or the 10,000 people he killed metaphorically by a tornado in Kansas, or the CORPSEmen he was "honoring" in the Navy. Let's get real, here COB. Obama's policy is to make us poorer, weaker, less influential in the world and militarily inferior to our rivals in the next four years. If re-elected, he has no interest in growing the economy so that our people are more productive and less dependent on HIS government. That's the issue here. BTW, all politics is local. What's your opinion on the job Madigan is doing with his buddies Cunningham and Burke? In the last two years have you been aware of a SINGLE time that they stood before the public and defended what they had done and what they plan to do to us?

He mispoke? Like 57the states? .... wow... he can do no wrong.... didnt think you had your head in the sand this far. To say i am for parts of health care, then to say i will keep parts of health care... then to actually specifically point out what parts he likes.... is not a slip of the tongue or being tired...

Good point Bobby. Campaigning is the tough part, but it's restful nights being president. Remember republicans stay loyal to the party no matter what, even if it kills the country!
