Best Places to Watch the First Midwest Bank Half Marathon and 10K

Don't miss a chance to spot your favorite runner(s) en route.

The First Midwest Bank Half Marathon and 10K is fast approaching, and Patch wants you to know the best places to catch a glimpse of the runners, or cheer on one close to you.

An estimated 1,700 runners are expected to take to the scenic route this weekend, winding their way through Palos Heights, Palos Park and parts of the Cook County Forest Preserve District.

The race is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, on Route 83 between Harlem and Archer Avenues, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

  • The Turnaround (Half Marathon) 
  • Wood View Lane (Half)
  • Willow Springs Road/104th Avenue (Half)
  • Kean Avenue (Half & 10K)
  • Start/Finish Line
