Palos Park Police Officer Awarded For Work on Drug Task Force

From the Palos Park Police Department: 

Mayor John Mahoney  has announced that Palos Park Police Officer Bob Kotsianis, who is assigned as a Task Force Officer with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will receive the 2013 Chicago Crime Commission Award of Excellence by a “Task Force Group in the Area of Violent Street Gangs.”

Palos Park officials will be on hand when Kotsianis receives the award at the Chicago Crime Commission 2013 Star of Distinction Awards on November 6, 2013 at the Palmer House Hilton 17 East Monroe Chicago, Illinois.

Over 200 dignitaries and corporate leaders in the greater Chicago area will attend the awards dinner.

Kotsianis said of the award, “my assignment with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency as a Task Force Officer has been challenging and rewarding.  The volume of cases can be staggering, but seeing the positive impact the DEA has in putting dangerous criminals away makes the long hours and attention to detail worth it.”

Kotsianis said of his DEA team members, “I work with a group of men and women representing many law enforcement agencies, the close working relationship we have built allows us to accomplish an often stressful and difficult job.”

The Chicago Crime Commission is one of the oldest and most respected crime commissions in existence.  It has served Chicago since 1919 and it is always working to improve the criminal justice system in Chicago, by finding and supporting solutions to existing concerns.
