When the Halloween decorations go up, it means that the flu vaccine must go in. Palos Immediate Care Center is offering flu shots for people over 18 for $25, with no appointment necessary.
According to a recent blog post from Palos Community Hospital: The flu vaccine takes about two weeks after vaccination for antibodies to develop in the body and provide protection against infection. In the meantime, you are still at risk for getting the flu. That’s why it’s best to get vaccinated early in the fall before flu season begins.
