More About Children's Farm at The Center
The Children's Farm is a real, working farm that raises a variety of animals and grows and harvests crops. The farm offers tours for groups and is very popular as a school field trip destination. It is open on weekends for family tours and has extended hours during October, when its pumpkin patch is open. The farm's attractions also change by season. During December, Nativity scenes are put on, and in the spring children can view the recently born baby animals. Regular sessions for junior farmers are also a popular activity. The Children's Farm hopes to educate children about the farming and nature principals that have been a part of Illinois history for generations.
