We need your support! The Friends of the Green Hills Public Library will be hosting a fundraiser for the entire month of February. Stop in and pick up a Fannie May candy bar for just $1.00. There are a variety of flavors and no limit to how many you can purchase! Purchases can be made in the Friends Bookstore on the ground level or at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor.
Who are the Friends of the Library? They are an all-volunteer group that supports the Green Hills Public Library. With the help of volunteers, bookstore sales, support of local businesses, and fundraisers, the Friends have purchased prizes for Summer and Winter Reading Programs, children’s interactive play items, Bronze Max Turner statue at Library entrance, reading bench on 2nd floor landing, display cases, and much more. The purpose of the Friends of the Library is to stimulate public support for the Green Hills Public Library through gifts and volunteer assistance, to finance Library projects not possible with tax funds, to encourage public understanding of our Library, and to increase the Library’s usefulness to the community.
Green Hills Public Library is located at 8611 W. 103rd Street in Palos Hills, IL 60465. If you have any questions, please visit the Library or call (708) 598-8446.
