After compiling fantastic seasons, two Southland baseball teams fell just short of the ultimate goal this weekend. Oak Forest lost in the Class 3A state championship against Kaneland, and Providence Catholic dropped just its fourth game of the season, this time to Lyons Township in the Class 4A title game.
