When people ask me what I do everyday, I often tell them that it is always different.  A recent day's worked involved paddling a canoe around Lake Katherine in Palos Heights while trying to shoot some usable video footage.

Joined by my paddling partner and summer intern Briana Barner, I had the chance to view the nature center from a unique perspective. Now, you have that same chance. Lake Katherine's canoe and kayak rental program is up and running thanks to a donation from the Palos Heights Beautification Committee and the Classic Car Event.

Open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the rentals are $6 for Palos Heights residents and $10 for everyone else.
