Nick, Baumanns Bakery and Breadsmith each had a old person in a car hit their storefronts in the past year.

Oh no....not our precious, state of the art recreation center!!!! If we lost that irreplaceable anchor of our town I don't know what we'd do!!! Please tell me the repairs won't take too long so the community can go back to utilizing its awesomeness!!! Thank you Palos Heights elected officials for spoiling us with such a facility. If the structural damage is too much can you please consider putting another bank there???

Are you being sarcastic? I don't think that facility is good at all. Plus we have all this surplus of $$ the alderman brag about... yet have basketball's that don't bounce a.d tennis courts fixed with glue!
Oh wait... you're kidding right???

Nick, there were several in Indian Trails stores, Lumes, I believe Baumann's bakeys or the store next to it. Probably more I just can't remember. It would be an interesting research article for the Patch.

Thanks, Brett. Several of the incidents happened before I came to Palos. A research article would definitely be interesting. I'll get working on it.

Aurelio's was crashed into. Plus wasn't one of the stores near running for kicks hit a few years back? Maybe the UPS store?

My theory is that since there are so many medical buildings in Palos Heights, it draws the elderly and sick to our hood. And while they are here seeking medical care, they run errands and wreak havoc upon the poor unsuspecting buildings. All jokes aside, there does actually seem to be a higher than normal "car crashing into buildings" around here. I can think of at least 10 since we moved here 7 years ago. I lived in the city for 15years before that do not ever remember hearing about stuff like this on such a frequent level.

Let me add, Fitsimmons medical supply and just to stick up for the seniors a little bit, the person who hit Aurelios was a young girl, not illegal or old!
