Rev. Robert E. Dovick, 85, Pastor Emeritus of Incarnation Church in Palos Heights, died Oct. 28, 2012.

Born Jan. 25, 1927, he was ordained to the priesthood May 1, 1953.

Beloved son of the late Edward and Marie. Devoted brother of James A. (Marilyn) Dovick. Loving uncle of David Laluya, Maria Lamberti, Joseph Laluya and the late John Laluya.

He was a dear friend of the many he ministered to at the different parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago.

"You have been a wonderful pastor and a wonderful friend to all," wrote Denise Hyker, an Incarnation parishioner and friend, on the Becvar Funeral Home website memorial page. "You have done so much for Incarnation and we will always remember you. We will all miss you but are happy you are now home in heaven and pain free."

Father Dovick will lie in state on Sunday, Nov. 4, 3 to 8 p.m. at Incarnation Catholic Church, 5757 West 127 St., Palos Heights. Prayer service will be Sunday at 7 p.m., and a funeral Mass will be Monday at 10:30 a.m.

Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Incarnation School Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.
