UPDATE: Oak Lawn's Becky Bradshaw is Patch MVP

Oak Lawn's Becky Bradshaw came up big for the Spartans at the Tinley Park tournament. And she also came up big in voting for Patch's MVP, Sept. 24-30. Bradshaw is now eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.

In voting for Southland Patch's MVP for Sept. 24-30, who gets the biggest roar from the crowd?
Marist running back Peter Andreotti helped the RedHawks run past Carmel 28-7 in a East Suburban Catholic Conference football showdown. Andreotti netted 135 yards rushing on 27 carries. He scored one touchdown as Marist ran its record to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
Evergreen Park's Omar Alvarez struck for three goals in the Mustangs' 7-2 boys soccer victory over Rich Central.
Lincoln-Way West's Alexis Biedrzycki carded a round of 1-over-par 73 to earn medalist honors in the Southwest Suburban Red Conference tournament at Silver Lakes Country Club. Biedrzycki's play powered Lincoln-Way West to a third-place finish in the team standings. It was her second straight conference title.

Corey Brent had 2 Punt returns for TD's (64 & 36 yards) as well as an interception in Oak Forest's 49-12 win at Hillcrest. Very impressive.
