Update: Marian's Abby Kresal is the Patch Athlete of the Week

Kresal, a Marian Catholic sophomore, made it to the state swimming competition in two events, placing 16th in the 100-yard breaststroke and 24th in the 200-yard individual medley in the state preliminary races.

Brad Foster, senior, center, boys basketball, Lincoln-Way Central. Foster scored23 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked four shots in a 47-43 victory overdistrict rival Lincoln-Way West. He also made 10-of-16 shots and sank a pair of freethrows in the final seconds to ice the victory for Central.
Ricky Robertson, junior, wrestling, Sandburg. Robertson notched three falls and amajor decision en route to capturing the 170-pound championship in the Whitlatch Invitational at Hinsdale Central. He pushed his record to 17-0 and led the Eagles’charge to a second-place finish in a stacked field.
Tim Williams, senior, forward, boys basketball, Homewood-Flossmoor. Williams scored 19 points in a 60-45 victory over Lincoln-Way East. He ranged outside to hit three 3-pointers and put an exclamation point on the Vikings’ win with a monster dunk.
