69 Palos Runners Finish Chicago Marathon
A total of 69 Palos Heights, Palos Park and Palos HIlls ran in the Chicago Marathon Sunday. The best finisher from this area was 249 overall.

About 45,000 runners from every U.S. state and 115 countries participated in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Sunday.
Ethiopian Tsegaye Kebede had the top finish in the marathon at 2:04:38, breaking the course record set last year by Kenya's Moses Mosop, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Jan Myrda of Palos Heights took an impressive 249th place. Thirty-four people from Palos Heights finished the race. Another 17 runners represented Palos Park. Eighteen marathoners who finished were from Palos Hills.
