The Hospitaller Pavilion has something new for the south suburbs.
Palos Community Hospital is introducing its recently completed, new surgical and patient pavilion.
The Hospitaller Pavilion offers private patient rooms, advanced surgical suites and a more "soothing and therapeutic healing environment for patients," according to a release from the hospital.
The state-of-the-art addition also is designed to give physicians and staff a more efficient facility.
Carol Stefen on PHTV Channel 4 spoke with Tim Brosnan of Palos Hospital about the new Pavilion. You can see video on Youtube.
Among the features for the new building are a Center for Short Stay Care, an intensive care unit and a dual-procedure surgical suite that's unique to the south suburbs. THe Hybrid Room, unique to the south suburbs, combines CT scan and ultrasound equipment and can allow for a wide array of procedures.
Palos Community Hospital is a 433-bed facility in Palos Heights.
