Punch in the Stomach
Antonio Fricano, 62, of the 17300 block of 71st Court in Tinley Park, was charged with battery. Police said Fricano punched someone in the stomach without justification around 4 p.m. at Palos Community Hospital, 12251 S. 80th Ave.
Theft from Vehicles
Several vehicles along the 6300 block of Orchard were broken into sometime during the overnight hours between Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, police said. Electronic items were taken from the vehicles, police said.

Gym Theft
A man entered Cardinal Fitness, 6435 W. 127th St., around 7:51 p.m., saying he wanted to use a guest pass, police said. The man then left a short time later, before a gym member realized his locker had been opened and his car keys removed, police said. The gym member discovered his car had been opened and his wallet was missing, police said. About 30 minutes later one of the stolen credit cards was used to purchase more than $1,000 in electronics, police said.
