Palos Heights Police Blotter: Crack Cocaine Pipe Reported, House Party Broken Up

SUNDAY, FEB. 6

Speeder

Robert A. McCarthy, 36, of the 16100 block of Debra Drive in Oak Forest, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding. Police said they stopped McCarthy’s car in the 13300 block of Harlem Avenue around 4:15 a.m. after he was seen driving 54 mph in a 35-mph zone.

SATURDAY, FEB. 5

Red Light, Red Face

Nael Ali, 22, of the 15200 block of Catalina Drive in Orland Park, was charged with DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic signal. Police said they stopped Ali’s car in the 12900 block of Harlem Avenue around 4 a.m. in connection with driving through a red light. He was unable to provide proof of insurance, according to the report.

FRIDAY, FEB. 4

Swerve and Protect

Nicole M. Zobjeck, 21, of the 13300 block of 167th Street in Homer Glen, was charged with DUI and improper lane use. Police said they stopped Zobjeck’s car in the 12500 block of Harlem Avenue around 2 a.m. in connection with swerving between lanes.

Grocery Dash

Robert W. Davies, 33, of the 8900 block of Southfield Drive in Bridgeview, was charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said Davies stole $356 in various items from a grocery store in the 6400 block of 127th Street around 5 p.m. On Davies, police found a glass pipe which they suspect was used for smoking crack cocaine, according to the report.

House Party

Adomas Pinkauskas, 19, of the 2000 block of Doral Court in Palos Heights, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and residence nuisance. Police said they responded to a loud music complaint at Pinkauskas’ home around 11 p.m. and discovered “an underage drinking party,” according to the report.
