Ohio Man Charged with Sex Abuse Made Business Trips to Chicago: Police
If convicted of criminal sexual abuse, David H. Six, 53, would end up on the sex offender registry.

A 53-year-old Ohio man who authorities say had a sexual relationship with a Palos Heights teen was making regular trips to Chicago area on business, according to police.
David H. Six, of Sheffield Lakes, Ohio, was the subject of a lengthy investigation by local police and federal authorities before his arrest on Monday. Six is accused of having sex with a minor and distributing pornography. He appeared in court Tuesday and was issued a $200,000 bond.
Six, an engineer with Microsoft, visited Chicago both on trips for work and allegedly to meet with a local teenager, said Sgt. Tim Holder of the Palos Heights Police Department.

The teen's mother first notified police in December 2011, Holder said. The mom had talked with her son about conversations he was having with 50-year-old man from Ohio online in a gaming chatroom. The mom approached police with information and turned over her son's laptop. Holder said the computer was given to FBI investigators for examination, a process that took many months to complete.
Investigators believe the two were having a sexual relationship as far back as the December, Holder said. During this time, Six allegedly had sent explicit images to the teen on several occasions and met with the him for sex.
On Thanksgiving, police received a tip that Six would be in the Chicago area again. He was arrested at a Burr Ridge hotel on Monday and charge with criminal sexual abuse and distributing harmful material on Tuesday.
One unusual factor in this investigation is the age of the victim.
The teen, who was 16 years old when the alleged contact with Six first began, turned 17 years old during the year since the relationship was first reported to police, Holder said. The age of consent in Illinois is 17.
The criminal sexual abuse charge Six is facing, if convicted, would land him on the sex offender registry, Holder said. Six's bond includes several conditions, including not having any contact with anyone under the age of 17.
Six is scheduled to appear in a Bridgeview court on Dec. 18.
