Newsworthy: Stagg Graduates Get a Proper Send Off
Alexa Minkina, senior class president, spoke to her classmates about their shared past and bright futures.
Amos Alonzo Stagg High School sent its graduates off into the future last week with not only diplomas, but words of reflection and advice.
Senior Class President Alexa Minkina presented the senior class gift at last Tuesday's ceremony. During her speech she spoke of the shared memories and lessons that each graduate will take with them, wherever life may lead.
"Stagg High School has shaped each and every one of us and will forever be a place that links us all together," Minkina said in her speech to her fellow graduates.
Minkina expressed the bittersweet emotions that often face high school graduates during the last few days of school. She will attend the University of Illinois in the fall.
