1. Bloom (24-3): Donald Moore battled back after being called for a technical foul and led the Blazing Trojans to a 41-37 victory over upstart Thornton Fractional North. Moore made 11-of-13 free throws and scored a game-high 15 points. Bloom faces Sandburg in the Class 4A Joliet Central Regional championship game at 7:30 tonight.

2. Andrew (24-2): The Adekoya brothers helped the T-Bolts set up a bit of March Madness. Jubril Adekoya scored 15 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in a 54-37 victory over Lincoln-Way Central. Jawad Adekoya added 12 points and six rebounds. Andrew faces Marian Catholic at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the Thunderdome.

3. Marist (24-5): L.J. McIntosh was the McHero in the Battle on Pulaski. McIntosh erupted for 30 points in Marist’s 76-61 victory over Brother Rice. He also had seven rebounds and five steals. The RedHawks face Curie in the championship game of the Class 4A Marist Regional at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

4. Sandburg (16-10): Brian Dace (12 points) and Malek Harris (10 points) socked it to Minooka in the Eagles’ 43-36 victory. The two will be called on again to deliver big blows as Sandburg braces for Round 2 with Bloom Township in the championship game of the Class 4A Joliet Central Regional. Tip-off is at 7:30 tonight. Sandburg took the first meeting between the two 47-43 in overtime in the MLK Day of Hoops event at Joliet Central.

5. Homewood-Flossmoor (20-7): Look who’s back in the top five. Surprised? No. Tim Williams scored 12 points in the Vikings’ 58-37 victory over Lincoln-Way East. The 6-7 senior is not ready to turn in his jersey. Nor are any of the rest of H-F’s seniors. The Vikings face Thornwood in the Class 4A Homewood-Flossmoor Regional championship game at 7:30 tonight.
