Hound Dogs, Palos Heights' newest hot dog restaurant, is picking up steam.

"People are coming in and coming back," said owner Dave Leon. He said his hot dogs and the Original Mr. Beef sandwiches are drawing more and more lunch customers.

Leon had operated a restaurant in Midlothian before Mr. Submarine made him an offer on the location. The Palos Heights resident and his wife Denise live just a few blocks away from the 7230 W. College Dr. location in Tiffany Square Plaza.
