Hickory Hills Man Pushed Through Window During Fight: Police
Both the Hickory HIlls man and another guy from Plainfield were arrested by Palos Hills police.
A fight between two men escalated earlier this month after one man was pushed through a storefront window.
Michael Shaven, 21, of Hickory Hills, and Michael Moderhack, 23, of Plainfield, were charged with criminal damage to property on Nov. 17, according to a police report.
Palos Hills officers were called at about 4 a.m. to 10154 S. Roberts Rd. on a property damage report. Arriving officers found a store window for Palos Tobacco & Liquors, 10162 S. Roberts Rd., had been smashed.
Police determined that Shaven and Moderhack were allegedly fighting in front of the store. At some point, Shaven was pushed into the window.
It wasn't clear what started the fight between the two men or if they knew each other before it happened. However, witnesses did say Shaven and Moderhack had fought.
Officers who went to help Shaven reportedly found him "combative and belligerent" and allegedly intoxicated.
Both participants in the fight are set to appear on Dec. 21 in a Bridgeview courtroom.
