Chicago Man Tells Cops He Can Urinate Where He Wants: Blotter

FRIDAY, MARCH 1
Public Indecency Charge
Michael Kharallah, 39, of Chicago, was charged with public indecency, according to a report. Police allegedly saw Kharallah standing at about 9 a.m. near 10500 S. Roberts Rd., trying to urinate on the street corner. When police stopped to talk with him, Kharallah told them "This is America and I can (urinate) where I want."
THURSDAY, FEB. 28
Students Charged with Pot Possession
A male and female student at Stagg High School were charged with possession of marijuana, according to a police report. The girl also was charged with obstructing a police officer. Police were called to the school at about 1:40 p.m. An officer found that two youths both had a clear plastic bad containing a green leafy substance that tested positive for the presence of marijuana. The girl became aggressive when she was taken to the Palos Hills Police Department, police said.
TUESDAY, FEB. 26
Sleeping Man Picked Up
A man was found sleeping at the wheel of his vehicle at about 2:50 a.m. at the Speedway gas station, 10300 S. Roberts Rd. The North Palos Fire Department took him to Palos Community Hospital for treatment.
Speeder Gets Away
Police saw a car traveling 40 mph in a 20 mph zone at about 7 p.m. eastbound on 99th Street near 82nd Avenue. The vehicle refused to stop and was last see on 95th Street. Police later found it parked in the 10000 block of South Hill Terrace and are investigating.
