Blotter: $5K Watch Disappears from Palos Hills Home

TUESDAY, AUG 21

Methadone Reported Stolen

Methadone, a painkiller also used to treat opioid dependency, was reported missing at about 2:30 p.m. from a home in the area of 10100 South 84th Tr. The victim told police he had been issued the methadone and that he didn’t know who took it.

THURSDAY, AUG. 23

PayPal Fraud

A Palos Hills resident was the victim of identity theft. The person told police someone had opened up a PayPal account without authorization.

SATURDAY, AUG. 25

Sort of Like Sugar in the Gas Tank

A woman told police someone had stuffed candy bars into her gas line while her car was parked in the area of 8500 W. 101st Tr. She parked her car at about 8:45 p.m. on Aug. 24 in a nearby parking lot. She didn’t discover the candy bars until she returned to her car and drove to the gas station to fill up.

Missing Expensive Watch

A $5,000 Hamilton watch was reported missing from a home in the area of 10600 S. Terry Ln. Police were called at about 12:15 p.m. The owner of the watch said she did not know how it disappeared. There were no signs of a break in.
