4 Ways Patch Could Boost Your Business

Palos Patch wants to partner with the business community and help owners get a leg up.

Small business owners know how tough it can be to attract new customers or find the time to put your brand out there.

Here at Patch, we respect the hard work these valued members of the community put into their businesses. That's why we want to help. Here are four things any business owner can do with Patch to get a leg up:

1. Find and claim your business' listing in Palos Patch's Directory.

Click here to go to the Directory page.

Interested in local real estate?Subscribe to Patch's new newsletter to be the first to know about open houses, new listings and more.

This is a free way to market and get in front of thousands of local readers. Every Palos Heights, Palos Park and Palos Hills business already has a listing created. (If you don't see one for your business, email nicks@patch.com and ask for help getting on the site.

Once you've found your business listing, take a quick look through and make sure all the information there is correct. If not, reach out to us and we'll see about getting it fixed.

You'll probably notice a little section with a link in the listing that asks you to claim it. This is one of the most powerful tools we offer to local businesses. Once claimed, the directory can be changed by adding more photos and allowing users the ability to post events and blog.

Email nicks@patch.com or drew.richards@patch.com if you need help claiming a listing.

2. Come to the Nov. 13 Palos Area Chamber of Commerce Luncheon.

I, your Palos Patch editor, will be teaming up with Drew Richards from advertising to give a presentation on social media at the Village of Palos Park. The two of us will talk about the power of sites like Facebook and Twitter and lay out how Patch can help you launch into the world of social media.

3. Blog on Palos Patch.

Local Voices on Patch is home to a diverse group of community leaders and interested citizens who have something to say. Business owners are encouraged to use the blogging platform, too.
